The New York Yankees release outfielder Ray Kruml

The Yankees have released 26-year old lefty swinging outfielder Ray Kruml. Kruml played in 24 games in AAA-ball for the Yankees this year and he was 16 of 71 (.225 avg, .577 OPS) with 6 runs scored, 1 homer, 7 RBIs and 7 stolen bases. He has now played in 432 games in his first five years in the minors and he is 442 of 1,651 (.268 avg, .664 OPS) with 239 runs scored, 9 homers, 136 RBIs and 125 stolen bases. The Yankees aren’t going to miss Kruml at all moving forward.
