The New York Mets are going to be without David Wright for a while
The Mets are going to have to play without starting 3B David Wright for a while as he has a small fracture on his right pinkie. The good news is that he won’t require surgery to fix it. He is still listed as out indefinitely. Wright has played in 4 games for the Mets so far this year and he is 7 for 12 (.583 avg, 1.480 OPS) with 1 run scored, 1 homer and 4 RBIs. Opposing pitchers are worried about Wright once again as he has already walked 4 times while only whiffing 1 time this year. Ronny Cedeno will likely be Wright’s replacement for the time being. He has played in 4 games for the Mets so far this year and he is 3 for 4 (.750 avg, 1.750 OPS) with 1 double and 1 RBI. The Mets hope that Wright heals up soon because he’s almost impossible to replace because of his bat.
