The New York Knicks lose Raymond Felton for the next 4-6 weeks

The Knicks have lost 28-year old point guard Raymond Felton for the next 4-6 weeks due to a fractured right pinkie.  Felton has played in 28 games (all starts) for the Knicks so far this year and he is averaging 33.7 minutes, 15.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.  Lucky for the Knicks, they have 39-year old “shooting guard” Jason Kidd on the team.  He is #2 in NBA history in assists with 11,943 of them.  He will slide over to the point until Felton returns to action.  Kidd has played in 25 games (24 starts) for the Knicks so far this year and he is averaging 29.7 minutes, 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game.  He is shooting 43% from the floor, 45% from three point range and 90.3% from the free throw line, so he has been really efficient for the Knicks so far this year.  35-year old Pablo Prigioni will also likely see a bump in P.T. until Felton is ready to return to action.  Prigioni has now played in 28 games (0 starts) for the Knicks so far this year and he is averaging 13.3 minutes, 3.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game.

The Knicks are 2-2 since Amar’e Stoudemire’s return, picking up where the Anthony-Stoudemire not-so-dynamic duo left off last season. Before this season, the two were 31-41 when they hit the court together.
